People for Parklands Denmark Inc, formerly Friends of the Denmark Community Park Inc (FDCP Inc), are applying for matching funding to the $250,000 provided by the Department of Health for landscaping the remainder of the Community Park. This means that $500,000 may be available for this park's development. (That it be developed in accordance with the FDCP's aims and goals was one of the conditions the Denmark Shire Council made for the approval of the hospital on the park site.) You can be involved in how this money is spent and in the development and procurement of other areas of valuable foreshore and residential parkland. You can help protect public open space and be part of keeping Denmark green.
Come to the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday October 24th 5.00 pm
at the Denmark Environment Centre Meeting Room. (An agenda is available. Snacks will be provided.)
With most of the current committee not standing for re-election a new committee will be elected for the forth-coming year. A nomination form is supplied for those who wish to nominate for the committee before the meeting.
Members are required to be financial to serve on the committee and all memberships are due. A membership form is provided for your convenience. Membership cost is $10 or $5 concession.
